PRAYAGRAJ: In two separate and tragic incidents reported from Prayagraj, two young students — one preparing for the NDA and another a Class 11 student of Ganga Gurukulam School — ended their lives by hanging. The sudden deaths have left their families and communities in deep shock and grief.

NDA Aspirant Kuldeep Yadav Found Dead in Allapur

Eighteen-year-old Kuldeep Yadav, an NDA aspirant, was found hanging in his room in the Allapur area on Saturday.

His devastated family members said they could not comprehend what led him to take such an extreme step.

According to family members present at the postmortem house, Kuldeep had completed his intermediate studies earlier this year and came to Prayagraj in May to prepare for the National Defense Academy (NDA) examination.

He had also taken admission in a local coaching institute to pursue his dream of joining the armed forces.

Kuldeep was living with his elder sister, Vandana, who is preparing for civil service examinations. She told the police that on Saturday morning, Kuldeep woke up early and left for coaching without waking her.

After returning home, the siblings had lunch together.

Vandana then went out for her own classes, and when she returned later in the day, she found her brother hanging from the ceiling fan.

Kuldeep is survived by his two elder sisters, one younger brother, and his father, Chandresh Yadav, who works in Chennai.

Following the postmortem, the family took his body to their native village, Khraul, i the Kamasin police station area of Banda district, for the last rites.

George Town Police Station SHO Santosh Singh said that the family has not yet filed any written complaint. The police have, however, seized the student’s mobile phone for investigation.

Class 11 Student from Ganga Gurukulam Found Hanging

In another incident, 14-year-old Aarush Keserwani, a student of Ganga Gurukulam School, died by suicide late Saturday night at his residence in Shantipuram Sector-A, Phaphamau.

Aarush was the younger son of Arvind Keserwani, a Circle Officer (CO) in the land consolidation department, currently posted in Lalitpur.

His elder brother is pursuing a B.Tech degree outside the city. Aarush lived at home with his mother, Jyoti Keserwani, while his father was on duty away from Prayagraj.

According to reports, Arvind had recently returned home on leave and was leaving for duty on Saturday night. Aarush had gone to the Prayagraj Junction railway station to see his father off.

Later that night, after returning home, he is believed to have taken his own life in his bedroom.

When his mother went to check on him in the morning, she was horrified to find him hanging. Her screams alerted the neighbors, and soon the entire locality was engulfed in an atmosphere of shock and disbelief.

No suicide note was found at the scene. The reason behind Aarush’s extreme decision remains unclear, and police are continuing their investigation.

Both incidents have left families and friends struggling for answers, highlighting once again the growing concern over student mental health and emotional well-being.
