Two Women Killed, Three Injured in Early Morning Collision Near Ghazipur Toll Plaza

A tragic road accident in East Delhi’s Ghazipur area claimed the lives of two women and left three others injured after a car crashed into a container truck near the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) toll plaza on National Highway 9 early Wednesday.

Delhi Police said they received a PCR call about the incident at the Ghazipur police station around 6:43 am. Officers rushed to the site near Vinod Nagar Depot, where they found a severely damaged Kia Seltos that had rammed into a container truck close to the toll plaza.

Preliminary inquiries indicate that the car was travelling from the Ghaziabad side when the collision occurred.

Two women passengers—Deepanjali (38) and Neelam Garg (55)—were declared dead at the scene. Police said one of the victims was found outside the vehicle, while the other remained trapped in the front passenger seat.

The driver, identified as Deepanshu Garg, along with two young children—Vivan (5) and Vashu (3)—sustained injuries in the crash. All three were taken to Max Hospital for treatment.

A crime team inspected the accident site to document evidence and assess the circumstances. The bodies of the deceased were moved to Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the sequence of events and establish the cause of the fatal collision.
