Union Law and Justice minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has said, uniform civil code was part of government’s agenda.
We have a strong coalition and there is nothing to worry about, said the minister.
After assuming office the minister rejected claims of conflict between executive and judiciary.
He said, he was hopeful that solution will be found on memorandum of procedure.
This refers to appointment, elevation and transfer of Judges which is yet to be finalised in this regime.
I believe that we will certainly find solution to it, said the minister while talking to reporters.
On the issue of one nation one election, he said the committee under former President Ram Nath Kovind had submitted its report and the Law Commission was also working on it.
The minister signed the national litigation policy document after taking charge. It is part of 100 day agenda in this government.
He said,faster justice in matters pending before supreme court, high courts, lower courts, tribunals and consumer courts was a priority of this government.
