UP ATS has arrested one Ziyaul Haq on charges of passing on secret information about Indian army to ISI in Pakistan.
As per ATS sources the arrested person used to arrange account numbers of different persons here in order to get money from Pakistan.
Zia was also involved in other criminal activities and he had been depositing money in bank accounts earned through nefarious activities.
He was directly in touch with Pak agents.
He had been using SIM card issued from neighbouring Nepal in order to dodge the police.
In 2023 ATS had arrested three other persons Amrit Pal Singh alia Amrit Gill, Izharul Hussain and Riazuddin. Following sustained interrogation these persons admitted involvement of Ziaul Haq.
In March 2023 a sum of Rd 70 lakh had been deposited in the account of Riazuddin through cyber fraud. The money was then transferred into several other accounts and withdrawn.
Zia was arrested from Khalilabad railway station in Sant Kabir Nagar district.
Ziaul Haq hails from Jaukatia Village under police station Majhaulia in West Champaran district in Bihar.
