Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday conducted an on-ground inspection at Varanasi Railway Station to review arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Varanasi on Friday and will remain in the city overnight.

On Saturday, he will flag off the Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat train along with three other train services from Banaras Railway Station.

During his visit to the station this morning, CM Adityanath held discussions with senior railway and district officials regarding ongoing beautification works, enhanced security measures, improved passenger amenities, and event-venue preparations.

He instructed all departments to ensure seamless coordination and avoid any lapses, stressing the importance of maintaining impeccable cleanliness, efficient crowd and traffic control, and robust security throughout the station area.

Before arriving at the station, the Chief Minister offered prayers at several prominent temples in the city.

He first visited Baba Kal Bhairav Temple—considered the guardian deity of Kashi—where he performed rituals and sought blessings.

He later visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, performing the traditional Shodashopachar worship and praying for the prosperity and well-being of the people.

The temple complex echoed with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” during the ceremony.

CM Adityanath also visited the Satua Baba Ashram at Manikarnika Ghat, offering prayers at the Shiva temple and meeting Santosh Das Maharaj, disciple of the revered saint Satua Baba.

The city is witnessing heightened preparations and security deployment as Varanasi gears up to welcome the Prime Minister for his visit and a series of developmental events.
