Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a major step towards ensuring the well-being of teachers across the state by extending cashless medical treatment facilities to them.

This scheme will now cover teachers of primary, upper-primary, secondary, and aided schools and colleges, along with Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and even school cooks.

Teachers welcomed this move, calling it a thoughtful initiative that reflects the government’s concern for their mental and physical health, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping society and nation-building.

With this facility, nearly nine lakh teachers and their families will be freed from the burden of sudden financial crises during illness or emergencies.

Speaking at the state-level Teachers’ Honour Ceremony in Lucknow on Teachers’ Day, CM Yogi emphasized that this was a gesture of gratitude towards teachers for their lifelong contributions.

On the occasion, he also honoured meritorious teachers, distributed tablets, and inaugurated smart classrooms.

Teachers expressed appreciation for the decision, saying it will not only provide them security and peace of mind but also enable them to give their best in the classroom.

CM Yogi, while assuring full government support, urged teachers to continue their commitment to nurturing the next generation with dedication and excellence
