US Bombs Iran’s Isfahan Using Heavy 2,000-kg Munitions as Iran–Israel–US War Enters Day 32; Regional Tensions Intensify
Dubai, Agency — The ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States intensified significantly on the 32nd day of the war, as the United States carried out heavy airstrikes early Tuesday morning targeting the strategic Iranian city of Isfahan.
According to media reports, the strikes involved the use of powerful 2,000-kilogram bombs, triggering massive explosions and large fires across parts of the city, with thick plumes of smoke seen rising high into the sky.
Eyewitnesses reported that the explosions were extremely intense, creating panic among residents as flames and smoke engulfed the targeted area.
Videos circulating on social media captured the magnitude of the blasts and the devastation that followed. Former US President Donald Trump also shared footage of the attack on social media, although Iranian authorities have not officially confirmed the full extent of the strike.
According to American media reports, the target of the attack was an underground facility, prompting the use of high-impact bunker-type bombs. Isfahan is considered one of Iran’s key military hubs and is located near important nuclear installations.
Analysts believe the region holds strategic significance, with claims that a substantial quantity of Iran’s enriched uranium — estimated at nearly 540 kilograms — is stored in underground facilities in the area.
Multiple explosions were also reported near Mount Sofeh, an area believed to house significant Iranian military infrastructure.
While local officials in Isfahan acknowledged that attacks had taken place, they did not immediately disclose details regarding casualties or the extent of the damage.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s military operations are focused specifically on US forces in the region, asserting that foreign troops must withdraw. He accused external powers of destabilizing the Middle East and failing to ensure regional security.
The conflict has also spilled into other parts of the region. Reports indicate that Iran targeted a Kuwaiti oil tanker near Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, causing a fire that was later brought under control.
In a separate drone strike on a residential area, four individuals were injured. Sirens were also heard in Bahrain, while Saudi Arabia claimed it intercepted three ballistic missiles aimed toward its capital, Riyadh. Air raid sirens were also reported throughout the night in Jerusalem.
The humanitarian toll of the conflict continues to rise. Within the last 24 hours, three peacekeepers of the United Nations were reportedly killed in Israeli strikes.
Additionally, four Israeli soldiers were confirmed dead during ongoing military operations.
The continued escalation of hostilities has heightened concerns about broader regional instability, with analysts warning that the conflict could further intensify if diplomatic solutions are not pursued urgently.
