Uttaranchal government may implement Uniform Civil Code in the state from Nov 9
The Uttarakhand government has started the process of implementing the much-hyped Uniform Civil Code (UCC) from November 9.
Sources said the government had entrusted the task of framing the rules to a specialized team headed by Shatrughan Singh.
According to Singh, the committee has completed all formalities and soon the papers will be handed over to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The CM had recently announced that his government wants to implement the UCC in the state of Uttaranchal.
