Vijay Kumar Misra 40, an advocate from Varanasi was found dead in a hotel room in Civil Lines.
The deceased lived in Shivpur colony in Varanasi.
The incident came to light after the victim’s wife could not get any response from his mobile despite repeated calls.
She had been frantically calling her husband’s number but to no avail.
Ultimately, an advocate friend told her that he was probably staying in a hotel in Civil Lines.
The victim had come to get his I card renewed.
Finally, police knocked at the hotel room only to find no response.
The body was found lying on the ground.
Police said an autopsy would reveal the cause of death.
