Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described the hoisting of the saffron “Dharma Dhwaja” at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a powerful symbol of Sanatan Dharma’s pride and resilience.
He has also urged priests and religious leaders to raise their voices firmly against religious conversion, love jihad, and drug abuse at every spiritual gathering.
Speaking at a consecration ceremony of an idol in Jhajjar, Haryana, the Chief Minister said that the unfurling of the flag atop the grand Ram Temple marks a historic milestone.
He stated, “The saffron Dharma Dhwaja in Ayodhya is sending a message to the world that the path of truth always prevails, and after 500 years, Sanatan Dharma has once again risen with pride.”
Yogi Adityanath traced the significance of the event back to the 2019 Supreme Court verdict, which settled the long-disputed Ayodhya issue and paved the way for the Ram Temple’s construction at the former Babri Masjid site.
He highlighted that for the first time in India’s history, a Prime Minister personally laid the foundation stone of a temple of such national importance, marking a turning point in religious and cultural heritage.
Warning of External Threats
Calling the present time India’s golden era, Adityanath cautioned that such periods in history are often accompanied by attempts from “foreign forces” to destabilise the nation.
He warned that threats may arise again in the form of religious conversion campaigns and the spread of narcotics, targeting the country’s youth and social structure.
Appeal to Saints and Religious Orders
Addressing the saints of Nath Sampradaya particularly, Yogi urged them to actively protest against activities that divide society and destroy culture.
He said:
“We must protect the youth from drugs. We have to save the future of the country and our society.”
Call for Unity
Stressing unity above all divisions, Yogi Adityanath emphasised that internal conflicts weaken the nation.
He declared:
“We must not divide ourselves in the name of caste, region, or language. If we divide, we will suffer.”
He reiterated that the goal is to build a society rooted in peace, culture, and national integrity—guided by the spirit of Sanatan Dharma.
