Today, Badshah is at the peak of his career, he launched his career alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh in 2006 with the hip-hop group Mafia Mundeer.
The duo became famous and successful but Honey Singh was ahead of him, that was the time of Yo Yo Honey Singh. Badshah later broke up with Honey in 2012 and went solo with his Haryanvi song Kar Gayi Chull, which was later used in the Bollywood film Kapoor & Sons in 2016. Since then Badshah never looked back.
Amid an interaction with the media, Rapper Badshah unveiled, “I was offered Vicky Kaushal’s role in Lust Stories. We were both judging a show together at that time when Karan sir told me that there is this role which you would fit. I thought Karan sir was joking. He said, ‘There’s a role of a guy who can’t satisfy his wife’. And I was like, ‘Yeh kya baat hui sir? Do I look like the kind of guy who can’t satisfy his partner?”
Badshah’s music has been featured in Bollywood soundtracks for films such as 2014 films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Khoobsurat. He is often dubbed as the “Rap King of India”, “India’s No. 1 Rapper” and “#1 Pop Icon of the Nation” by the media and Sony Music India, whom he is a signee of.
