Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Warns Provocateurs: “Disturb Peace in My State and Face the Full Wrath of Law”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sent a strong and unambiguous message to anyone attempting to disrupt law and order in the state: “Any provocation will be crushed, and the perpetrators will face the harshest action possible.”

The CM issued this stern warning while reviewing the law-and-order situation in a high-level video conference with senior police and administrative officials, including zonal ADGs, IGs, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and police chiefs.

Expressing deep displeasure over recent incidents of objectionable processions and provocative slogans in cities such as Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Moradabad, Budaun, Maharajganj, Unnao, Sambhal, Agra, and Bareilly, the CM made it clear that these acts were part of a “well-planned conspiracy to disrupt the state’s peace and harmony”—and that such attempts would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The warning comes in the wake of clashes between police and protesters in Bareilly, where over a dozen people, including several policemen, were injured. Similar disturbances have occurred recently in Kanpur, Unnao, and other districts, prompting the CM to order uncompromising action against all rioters and instigators.

“I want every provocateur and mastermind identified and arrested immediately. Not a single wrongdoer in any district should escape justice,” Adityanath told officials.

He instructed police to scrutinize video footage, monitor social media closely, and take decisive action against all involved.

The CM reiterated his zero-tolerance policy against crime, stating that the safety and security of every citizen in Uttar Pradesh is the government’s topmost priority.

He directed authorities to heighten vigilance under Mission Shakti 5.0, especially during Sharadiya Navratri events, garba, and dandiya gatherings, warning that any infiltration by disguised offenders would be met with swift and uncompromising action.

Adityanath also ordered strict enforcement against crimes targeting women, including molestation, chain-snatching, and acid attacks. Police stations, outposts, and patrol units (PRVs) will be held accountable, and zonal ADGs will submit station-wise reviews after Dussehra.

Dismissing rumors of drone surveillance and theft in Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Basti, and Prayagraj, the CM demanded arrests of those spreading falsehoods and emphasized tight monitoring of social media platforms to prevent misinformation.

He further instructed authorities to quash attempts to provoke caste-based tensions and directed Durga Puja committees to strictly follow safety norms during Ravana Dahan ceremonies. In addition, CM

Adityanath ordered surprise inspections of slaughterhouses and cow smuggling activities and called for enhanced traffic and security arrangements at the ongoing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida, which has already attracted nearly 49,000 visitors on its second day.

In no uncertain terms, Yogi Adityanath sent a warning to every lawbreaker and agitator in Uttar Pradesh: “If you try to disturb peace, you will learn a lesson that will last a lifetime. We will not spare anyone. The police are instructed to identify, arrest, and bring you to justice — no excuses, no delays.”
