PRAYAGRAJ : (Dhoomanganj) – Daytime Stone-and-Brick Assault
In the afternoon of Tuesday, in the Dhoomanganj police station area of Prayagraj, a 40-year-old man named Ravindra Pasi was brutally beaten to death with bricks and stones.
According to local reports, Ravindra, who worked as a bus driver on the Varanasi road route, had gone to a petrol pump at Mundera Chungi for some routine work.

At that location, a group of youths – reportedly from a neighbouring community and the village of Maduadeeh, historically associated with the area of the slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed – confronted him.

An old rivalry triggered an argument, which escalated into stone-throwing and a physical assault.

Police say the violent attack was captured on CCTV. Ravindra was rushed to the hospital in a critically injured state, but succumbed to his injuries.

Following his death, the scene rapidly spiralled into unrest: family members and residents placed Ravindra’s body on the Kanpur–Prayagraj road (Grand Trunk road), blocked traffic by sitting with the body in the middle of the road, and vandalised passing vehicles.

Given the assailants’ alleged belonging to another community, tensions of a communal nature have been reported, and police forces were deployed to prevent further escalation.
An investigation is underway under Inspector Amarnath Rai of Dhoomanganj PS.

BULANDSHAHAR (Dibai Area) – Dispute Over ₹200 Ends in Fatal Beating
Late on Sunday night in the village of Surajpur Makhena (under Daulatpur out-post, Dibai police station, Bulandshahr), 30-year-old Bablu (a daily-wage labourer and father of two) was beaten to death following a dispute over a ₹200 demand.

Bablu had been gambling with his cousin Sunil when Sunil demanded the ₹200. Bablu refused, and a fight broke out.

During the ensuing beating, Bablu collapsed unconscious; he was taken to a private hospital, where he was declared dead.

Bablu’s brother, Sachi, lodged a named FIR against Sunil. Bulandshahr police say they’ve initiated an investigation and have raided the accused’s home, though

Sunil had reportedly fled. The tragedy has left the family in deep grief – Bablu, as the sole wage-earner in his household, leaves behind a wife and two young children.

In both cases, we see how apparently small triggers – an old rivalry in one, and a modest sum of money in the other – have exploded into deadly violence, followed by public unrest and communal or social tension.

Authorities say they are investigating and working to stem further escalation.
