CM Yogi Warns at ‘Divya Gita Prerna Utsav’: “Some Forces Are Trying to Change India’s Demography”; Bhagavad Gita Can Guide the Nation
At the Divya Gita Prerna Utsav held in Lucknow’s Janeshwar Mishra Park, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a sharp caution against groups that, he said, are attempting to alter India’s demographic balance through deceptive tactics, manipulation, and pressure.
Addressing the gathering on Sunday, he emphasised that in moments like these, the divine teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita can serve as renewed inspiration and moral strength for the nation.
“Gita is a Divine Mantra for 1.4 Billion Indians”
CM Yogi remarked that while the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has devoted a century to service without expecting anything in return, certain individuals have turned the very concept of service into a transactional tool for their own political and ideological motives.
He warned that such forces seek to disrupt India’s social fabric and wound the very soul of the nation.
He noted that every follower of Sanatan Dharma treats the Bhagavad Gita’s 18 chapters and 700 verses as guiding mantras for life.
The scripture, he said, begins with “dharma” and ends with the same essence, underlining that India has always upheld the values of “live and let live.”
He cited the ancient maxim “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which presents the world as one family—a philosophy nurtured by Indian civilisation for centuries.
According to him, India regards its entire land as a dharma kshetra—a sacred field of duty. Even a battlefield, he said, becomes a realm of righteousness when the fight is for duty and justice.
That is the lens through which the teachings of the Gita must be understood.
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat: “Struggle for Dharma Always Leads to Beneficial Outcomes”
Addressing the event as the chief guest, RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat underscored that any struggle undertaken in the cause of dharma ultimately proves beneficial, regardless of immediate success or failure. What matters most, he said, is clarity of conviction.
He asserted that one who fights without hatred or attachment for the sake of righteousness is protected by dharma itself.
To stand bowing before injustice or falsehood, he said, is worse than death—true bravery lies in resisting wrongdoing with integrity.
Dr Bhagwat noted that the internal battles of human nature—anger, desire, ego, and resentment—continue today just as they did a thousand years ago. The message of the Gita remains timeless.
He encouraged the audience to read at least two verses from the Gita daily, reflect on them, and absorb their essence.
Doing so, he said, would significantly transform one’s inner life and bring a person closer to a truly “Gita-inspired” way of living within a year.
