Saharanpur: The Jammu & Kashmir Police team that arrived to interrogate Dr. Adil returned after 36 hours of intensive questioning.

During their stay, the officials examined individuals connected to the management of the renowned Ambala-based Famous Hospital.

Meanwhile, multiple intelligence units remain stationed in the district, gathering details about Dr. Adil’s close associates.

Probe Expands to Dubai Links

Investigators are also tracking Dr. Adil’s suspected Dubai connections. On Saturday, the UP ATS detained five individuals from Deoband, Shamli, and other areas of Saharanpur—believed to be close aides of Adil.

Tablighi Jamaat Under Scanner Again

The Tablighi Jamaat had earlier faced allegations during theCOVID-199 outbreak for aiding the spread of the virus while functioning like sleeper cells.

Twelve members were arrested from the Cantonment area at that time for holding secret gatherings, while large-scale meetings were reported in Delhi as well.

The organisation has frequently been named in probes involving anti-national activities.

Support System for Blast Suspects

Interrogations have revealed that members of the Tablighi Jamaat allegedly assisted terrorists involved in the recent blast.

They reportedly arranged vehicles, clothing, and other supplies at various stopovers, and even organised safe lodging across different cities whenever required.

The group is also believed to induct young people during meetings, persuading them that the path of terror is a sacred route to “Jannat”.

Radical literature, videos, and indoctrination sessions are used to push vulnerable youth toward extremism—often leaving them misguided enough to embrace violent, anti-national agendas.

Direct Links Between Dr. Parvez, Dr. Shaheen, and Tablighi Network

Intelligence agencies have found direct links between the Tablighi network and both Dr. Parvez and his sister, Dr. Shaheen, key accused in the Delhi blast conspiracy.

Electronic devices recovered from their residence and phone data point to interactions with hardline elements.

Dr. Parvez, who taught at Integral University, was reportedly in regular contact with Tablighi clerics and helped build sleeper cells with their support.

Agencies are probing the nature of the “instructions” he intended to pass on to these dormant modules.

In August, Dr. Shaheen visited Lucknow for several days. During this period, Parvez allegedly introduced her to individuals associated with the Tablighi Jamaat.

Multiple meetings were held, followed by a series of gatherings organised across western UP—Saharanpur, Hathras, Hapur, Moradabad, Sambhal, Bijnor—as well as Delhi and Kanpur. Together, the siblings were allegedly weaving a network of radical operatives.
