Government Committed to Making Uttar Pradesh the Nation’s Leader in Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business: CM Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reiterated the State government’s commitment to transforming Uttar Pradesh into India’s leading State in both Ease of Living for citizens and Ease of Doing Business for entrepreneurs.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on compliance reduction and Phase II of deregulation reforms, the Chief Minister said the administration’s core objective is to provide a transparent, time-bound, and trust-based governance system.
He stressed that citizens and businesses must be freed from unnecessary procedures, excessive permissions, and avoidable inspections.
“The true test of reforms is their impact on the ground,” the Chief Minister said, directing officials to ensure that every initiative translates into a visible improvement in people’s daily lives.
He underlined that the common citizen should genuinely feel that governance has become simpler, faster, and more responsive.
Deregulation Means Simplification, Not Absence of Rules
Clarifying the government’s approach, CM Adityanath said deregulation does not imply the removal of essential oversight.
Instead, it involves eliminating redundant controls while simplifying necessary regulations to make them more transparent, predictable, and citizen-friendly.
He reiterated that the government’s resolve is to create an ecosystem where trust replaces excessive compliance, and efficiency replaces procedural delays—benefiting both ordinary residents and investors alike.
Time-Bound Implementation and Continuous Monitoring
The Chief Minister instructed all departments to implement approved reforms within clearly defined timelines and to establish mechanisms for regular monitoring and evaluation.
He emphasized accountability, stating that reforms should not remain limited to policy documents but must be effectively executed across departments and districts.
The government, he said, aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a model State where governance is efficient, business-friendly, and centered on the needs of its people—thereby accelerating economic growth, job creation, and overall quality of life.
