In a landmark decision carrying message far and wide, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has refused the ‘plea for protection’ sought by a couple  during their live in relationship. The man is a married muslim living with a hindu girl.

While dismissing their petition the high court observed followers of Islam have no right to lead a life of ‘live in relationship’ particularly when he or she was married and his wife or husband was alive.

The bench observed that law also respects traditions and conservatism anid Article 21 of the constitution does not recognise any right in case of such a relationship.

While passing the sbove order the high court directed the police to ensure that the girl be taken to her parents.

The bench of Justice AR Masudi and Justice Ajay Kumar Srivastava passed the above order on the petition filed by the man and the woman.

On their part the couple had cited being adults they had been living in relationship out of their free will.

However, despite this the womans brother had filed a complaint of abduction at Vishehwsharganj police station in Behraich district.

While challenging the FIR the man and the woman had sought direction from the court that they be allowed to live a peaceful life.

The courtm during the course of hearing also found out that the man Shadab Khan was married and had a five year old daughter added to it he had disassociated himself from his wife after giving ‘teen talaq’.
