While we wait for the auspicious event of Dussehra so deeply embedded in our religious belief and culture, a family in Chowk is busy day in and day out preparing the grand tableaux, the crown and other jewellery of Bhagwan Ram and Brother Laxman, studded with gems and precious stones.

The family is famous as the Jadia clan and they have been carrying out this splendid work requiring finery and precision of the highest order.
The work of this family is one of grandeur, faith, and dedication to our Sanatan culture.

Seated on the tableaux are Lord Rama and Brother Luxman. The Jadia family is still maintaining the 120-year-old tradition of preparing and beautifying this tableau started by their great-grandparents for the Patharchatti Ram Lila Committee.

The tradition started by their great-grandparents was still being religiously followed by the third generation. Suresh Singh, Rajesh Singh, Dhruv Singh,Umesh Singh, Vijay Singh, Sumit Singh, Deepu Singh, Pawan Singh refrain from carrying out any other family business for at least one month every year that they dedicate to decking up this grand gem and stone studded tableaux.

This grand family also famous for making Jadau jewellery is a living example of truthfulness, sincerity and righteousness in their business. A while ago a lady from a good and cultured family suddenly needed some extra money.

She had a lot of family jewellery, hence instead of borrowing money from a friend which she would easily have got she decided to sell one of her gold chains gifted to her by her father.

To her utter surprise, one of the Jadia brothers advised her not to sell the gold chain and very to fight for her financial needs through any other source. However, if she thinks that there is no other way to get over the crisis she may sell the particular chain after some time as it would fetch her a lot more money.

Any other person would have quietly purchased the chain from her and reap the benefit. Such is the name and fame of this family known as the “Jadia Family.”

The crowns of Bhagwan Ram and Brother Laxman, their gem-studded garlands and other jewellery are hand-made by this family, the only one of its kind in the city of Prayagraj.

And when the moment comes, the hour, when Bhagwan Ram and Brother Laxman board these glittering tableaux and their attire dazzling in the lights one feels that Bhagwan Ram has again emerged in this Kalyug also dubbed as Ghor Khalyug.
