For renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Eid is not just a festival—it is a symbol of love, inclusivity, and cherished memories, deeply influenced by his mother’s values. As a tribute to her, he observes fasts during Ramzan, keeping alive the essence of devotion and remembrance.

Speaking to Bollywood Reporter, Bhatt shares,
“Eid is more than a celebration; it embodies warmth, familial bonds, and a strong sense of community. To me, it holds a value greater than even a Kohinoor diamond.”

For Bhatt, Eid celebrations are incomplete without a unique tradition—playing the song “Gali Mein Aaj Chand Nikla” from his last directorial film, Zakhm, as a part of his heartfelt observance of the festival.

“Every year, I eagerly look forward to a special vegetable biryani, which is lovingly prepared by a neighbor. This delicious dish, along with the traditional sweet sheer korma, becomes the highlight of my Eid feast,” he expresses.

Mahesh Bhatt cherishes celebrating Eid in the company of family and close friends, embracing the traditions and spirit of togetherness that define the festival.

“Eid is a time to spread goodwill, share joy, and be grateful for the bonds we cherish,” he adds.

Concluding with warm wishes, Bhatt says,
“I extend my heartfelt Eid Mubarak to all my fans and everyone celebrating this beautiful festival.”
