Along with this, the stunning facade lighting at multiple religious and spiritual landmarks across the city will remain in place for the next five years, ensuring that tourists can immerse themselves in the divine aura of Prayagraj throughout the year.
Jaiveer Singh, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Uttar Pradesh, highlighted the state’s commitment to promoting tourism and enhancing visitor experiences. He stated that Uttar Pradesh is making rapid strides in the tourism sector, securing its place as the most popular state for domestic tourism. Efforts are now focused on expanding its appeal to international travelers by improving infrastructure, enhancing facilities, and introducing innovative attractions that showcase the region’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
The Water Laser Show, which was inaugurated at Kali Ghat near the Boat Club along the Yamuna River during the Mahakumbh, has been a major highlight for visitors. This visually stunning spectacle features vibrant projections on a water screen, narrating the rich historical and spiritual heritage of Prayagraj and the significance of the Mahakumbh festival. By blending striking imagery with immersive sound effects, the show offers spectators a mesmerizing experience that deepens their connection with the sacred city and its traditions.
Originally scheduled to be held daily between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM during the Mahakumbh, the Water Laser Show featured two captivating performances, each lasting 45 minutes. Due to the overwhelming public enthusiasm and the high footfall of tourists, authorities have now decided to extend this unique attraction for the next five years. Moving forward, visitors will be able to witness the show daily from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM, ensuring that both pilgrims and tourists can enjoy this spectacular presentation beyond the festival period.
In addition to the Water Laser Show, the government has also decided to continue the facade lighting at prominent religious sites across Prayagraj. Among these locations are the revered Alopi Temple and the historic Nagvasuki Temple. The illumination of these sites will not only enhance their visual appeal but also create a spiritually uplifting ambiance for devotees and travelers alike. This initiative ensures that visitors can explore and experience the grandeur of these sacred places throughout the year rather than only during major religious events.
