Uttar Pradesh government again goes tough against corrupt officers, suspends twenty eight consolidation officers in the state: Issues showcause notices to several others:
The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended twenty-eight consolidation officers in the state on various charges of corruption.
Consolidation officers are appointed to look after agricultural land-related problems in the state.
Despite its tough stand against corruption, there appears to be little effect on several officers working in various departments under the state government and they continue to thrive on bribes.
However, the government appears to be well aware of the functioning style of officials and does not spare the rod when things come to its notice or people make complaints.
As per sources, action has been taken against twenty-eight consolidation officers.
These officers were found delaying action and neglecting work.
According to commissioner consolidation GS Naveen action has been taken against officers posted in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Basti, Ayodhya and Devipatan commissionerates.
Show cause notices have been served to
officers posted in Bareilly, Hardoi, Lalitpur, Unnao, Chitrakoot, and Jaunpur.
The officers include Pawan Kumar Singh, Sri Prakash Chandra Uttam, Rajesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar Sagar, Manohar Lal and Swatantra Veer Singh.
According to sources the CM has directed all departmental heads to keep reviewing work of the subordinate staff and take suitable action.
The Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditya Nath who has an impeccable political career keeps telling officers and departmental heads that they should nip corruption in the bud.
