Indian cinematographer Santosh Sivan was awarded the prestigious Pierre Angénieux ExcelLens in Cinematography honour at the Cannes Film Festival on May 24. He is the first Asian to bag this prestigious award. Preity Zinta presented the award to him at the closing ceremony.
Preity and Santosh Sivan have collaborated in several films, including the actress’ debut film, Dil Se.., which was cinematographed by Sivan.
