Kota Railway Station Becomes Key Breakthrough in Tiger Shroff Shooting Probe; Three Suspects Detained
KOTA/MUMBAI: A suspected escape plan involving a train journey from Mumbai has brought three men under police custody in Rajasthan in connection with the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car.
Kota police intercepted the trio on Monday after receiving an alert from Mumbai investigators, who were tracking the movements of the alleged assailants following Sunday’s shooting.
The suspects were travelling in an unreserved coach of the Pune-Jaipur Express when officers detained them at Kota railway station.
According to Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam, the police team acted on specific intelligence and completed the operation within approximately 15 minutes of receiving the information.
Investigators believe the men intended to travel onwards to Delhi and then escape to Nepal.
The detainees include Rehan, known by the alias Sukka, from Sonipat in Haryana; Hritik Kurmi, also called Roshan, who hails from Begusarai in Bihar and had been residing in Mumbai; and a minor from Haryana.
The trio will be transferred to Mumbai Police, which is leading the investigation into the shooting.
A major line of inquiry concerns the possible involvement of people linked to organised crime.
Gautam said initial questioning suggested that Rehan had been in contact with Anil Pandit, who is allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Investigators are attempting to determine whether this contact had any connection with the attack.
Police sources have also alleged that the three men were promised or paid a combined sum of ₹50,000 for carrying out the shooting.
Authorities are yet to recover the firearms believed to have been used. Gautam said the suspects would be questioned about the weapons, while investigators work to establish who arranged the attack and what part each person allegedly played.
Clues from a motorcycle abandoned in Mumbai have helped police reconstruct part of the suspected getaway.
The vehicle, believed to have been used during the attack, was located near Andheri railway station, police sources said. CCTV footage reportedly helped investigators follow its movements towards the DN Nagar area of Andheri West.
The recordings allegedly showed the men leaving the two-wheeler behind and moving towards the railway station.
Police suspect the train journey was part of an attempt to get out of Mumbai before heading towards northern India.
Mumbai Police passed information about the suspected route to Kota authorities, allowing local officers to intercept the train and detain the three men.
The attack took place at around 7 pm on Sunday in the Juhu area of Mumbai. Shroff was leaving Pushpa Park in his car when gunmen allegedly opened fire.
The actor was seated beside the driver, and five shots were reportedly fired at the vehicle. He escaped serious harm, while the driver and another person suffered injuries.
The investigation has also drawn attention to social media posts in which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the incident.
Two alleged operatives, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, were reported to have made claims about the attack online. Police are examining these claims but must establish their authenticity and relevance to the shooting.
With the suspects in custody, investigators are expected to focus on recovering the weapons, verifying the alleged payment, and tracing any individuals who may have directed or financed the attack.
The possible criminal-network connection remains a key aspect of the inquiry.

कोटा/मुंबई: अभिनेता टाइगर श्रॉफ की कार पर हुई गोलीबारी के मामले में जांच का दायरा मुंबई से बाहर राजस्थान तक पहुंच गया है। पुलिस ने सोमवार को कोटा रेलवे स्टेशन पर तीन संदिग्धों को उस समय हिरासत में लिया, जब वे पुणे-जयपुर एक्सप्रेस से यात्रा कर रहे थे।
जांचकर्ताओं को संदेह है कि कथित हमलावर वारदात के बाद मुंबई से निकलकर पहले दिल्ली और फिर नेपाल जाने की तैयारी में थे।
कोटा की पुलिस अधीक्षक तेजस्वनी गौतम ने बताया कि मुंबई पुलिस से मिले इनपुट के बाद स्थानीय टीम को संदिग्धों की तलाश में लगाया गया।
सूचना मिलने के करीब 15 मिनट के भीतर पुलिस ने ट्रेन में तलाशी अभियान चलाकर तीनों को पकड़ लिया। अब उन्हें आगे की पूछताछ के लिए मुंबई पुलिस को सौंपने की प्रक्रिया की जा रही है।
पकड़े गए लोगों में हरियाणा के सोनीपत का रेहान उर्फ सुक्का, बिहार के बेगूसराय का मूल निवासी और मुंबई में रह रहा ऋतिक कुर्मी उर्फ रोशन तथा हरियाणा का एक नाबालिग शामिल है। पुलिस इन तीनों की गतिविधियों और गोलीबारी से उनके कथित संबंधों की जांच कर रही है।
जांच का एक महत्वपूर्ण पहलू यह पता लगाना है कि कहीं इस हमले के पीछे किसी संगठित आपराधिक नेटवर्क की भूमिका तो नहीं थी। तेजस्वनी गौतम के मुताबिक, शुरुआती पूछताछ में रेहान और अनिल पंडित के बीच संपर्क होने की जानकारी सामने आई है।
अनिल पंडित को कथित तौर पर लॉरेंस बिश्नोई गिरोह से जुड़ा बताया जाता है। हालांकि, पुलिस अभी यह स्थापित करने में जुटी है कि इस संपर्क का गोलीबारी से कोई सीधा संबंध था या नहीं।
पुलिस सूत्रों का दावा है कि तीनों संदिग्धों को वारदात को अंजाम देने के लिए कुल 50 हजार रुपये मिले थे। इस कथित भुगतान की पुष्टि और रकम देने वाले व्यक्ति की पहचान जांच का हिस्सा है।
पुलिस को अब तक हमले में इस्तेमाल किए गए हथियार नहीं मिले हैं। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, पूछताछ में यह पता लगाने की कोशिश की जाएगी कि बंदूकें कहां रखी गईं और हमले की योजना किसने बनाई थी।
मुंबई में जांच के दौरान पुलिस को एक लावारिस मोटरसाइकिल मिली, जिसके बारे में संदेह है कि उसका इस्तेमाल हमलावरों ने किया था। पुलिस सूत्रों के मुताबिक, वाहन अंधेरी रेलवे स्टेशन के नजदीक मिला।
आसपास के CCTV कैमरों की रिकॉर्डिंग से जांचकर्ताओं को मोटरसाइकिल की आवाजाही का पता लगाने में मदद मिली। फुटेज में कथित तौर पर वाहन छोड़ने के बाद कुछ लोगों को रेलवे स्टेशन की ओर जाते देखा गया। जांचकर्ताओं ने वाहन की गतिविधियों को अंधेरी पश्चिम के डीएन नगर इलाके तक भी जोड़ा है।
पुलिस का मानना है कि मोटरसाइकिल छोड़ने के बाद संदिग्धों ने ट्रेन से मुंबई से बाहर निकलने की कोशिश की। इसी आशंका के आधार पर मुंबई पुलिस ने कोटा पुलिस को उनकी संभावित यात्रा की जानकारी दी। इसके बाद पुणे-जयपुर एक्सप्रेस में तलाशी लेकर तीनों को हिरासत में लिया गया।
गोलीबारी रविवार शाम करीब सात बजे मुंबई के जुहू इलाके में हुई थी। टाइगर श्रॉफ पुष्पा पार्क से कार में निकल रहे थे, तभी कथित तौर पर तीन हमलावरों ने वाहन पर गोलियां चलाईं। अभिनेता चालक के बगल वाली सीट पर बैठा था। कार पर पांच गोलियां चलाई जाने की बात सामने आई है। टाइगर श्रॉफ को गंभीर चोट नहीं लगी, लेकिन चालक और एक अन्य व्यक्ति घायल हो गए।
इस बीच, सोशल मीडिया पर लॉरेंस बिश्नोई गिरोह की ओर से हमले की जिम्मेदारी लेने संबंधी पोस्ट सामने आने की खबर है। अनिल पंडित और हरमन संधू नाम के दो कथित गिरोह के सदस्यों ने भी ऑनलाइन इस वारदात को लेकर दावे किए। पुलिस इन पोस्टों की प्रामाणिकता और मामले से उनके संबंध की जांच कर रही है।
तीनों संदिग्धों से पूछताछ के जरिए पुलिस हमले की पूरी साजिश का पता लगाने, कथित भुगतान की पुष्टि करने, हथियार बरामद करने और यह जानने की कोशिश करेगी कि वारदात के पीछे किसी अन्य व्यक्ति का निर्देश या आर्थिक मदद तो नहीं थी। संभावित गिरोह संबंध भी जांच का अहम हिस्सा बना हुआ है।
