The Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) on Friday called off their three days long strike keeping in view the assurance given by the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court to take appropriate steps regarding demand of the lawyers.
In this backdrop, the HCBA has decided to hold meeting on July 29,2024, when the issues will be discussed and new course of action will be chalked out
The HCBA has resolved to request the chief justice not to propose the name of any lawyer for judgeship, who has not practised law in the Allahabad High Court.
In addition to it, the HCBA has also requested the chief justice to consider over the practice of uncle syndrome (kith and kin) and take appropriate step in this direction so that people’s faith in judiciary is deepened.
In its resolution, the HCBA has made clear that it is not against all but against only those, who are allegedly involved in this practice.
These resolutions were passed in a meeting of the executive council, presided over by its president Anil Tiwari and conducted by secretary Vikrant Pandey.
