Eight passengers of a double decker bus killed and over nineteen injured in accident on Lucknow Agra Expressway

Eight persons were killed and about nineteen others traveling in a bus were injured after the vehicle collided with a water tanker on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.  The double-decker bus, traveling from Lucknow to Delhi, collided with the tanker near Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The impact caused the bus to overturn into a ditch.

 
The accident occurred near Mishrabad village, near the Auraiya border within Sakrava police station’s jurisdiction. 
Villagers gathered at the scene as emergency services arrived. Kannauj Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand confirmed that eight people died in this incident, with more than 19 others sustaining injuries.
 
The injured were being treated at a hospital.
