Ishan Kishan’s 91 Powers Sunrisers Hyderabad to 57-Run Win Over Rajasthan Royals as Hinge and Sakib Star with the Ball

Sunrisers Hyderabad Dominate Rajasthan Royals with All-Round Performance

A scintillating knock from Ishan Kishan, combined with incisive bowling spells from debutant Prafull Hinge and Sakib Hussai,n guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to a convincing 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in an IPL clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

After being put in to bat, Hyderabad produced a commanding batting display to post an imposing 216 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals were bundled out for 159 in 19 overs despite a spirited counterattack from Donovan Ferreira, who top-scored with an aggressive 69.

Despite the defeat, Rajasthan Royals remain at the top of the points table, having won four of their five matches, while Sunrisers Hyderabad climbed to fourth place after securing their second win of the season.

Kishan Leads Hyderabad’s Power-Packed Batting Display

Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered an early setback when Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a duck off the very first ball of the innings.

However, Kishan quickly steadied the innings with a composed yet attacking partnership of 55 runs for the second wicket alongside Travis Head, who contributed 18 runs from 18 deliveries.

Kishan then accelerated in style, forging a crucial 88-run partnership in just 39 balls with the destructive Heinrich Klaasen, putting Rajasthan’s bowlers under sustained pressure.

The Hyderabad skipper was in sublime touch, smashing 91 off 44 balls, an innings studded with eight boundaries and six towering sixes.

Klaasen chipped in with a brisk 40, while Nitish Reddy added 28 valuable runs.

Late cameos from Salil Arora, who remained unbeaten on 24, ensured Hyderabad crossed the 200-run mark comfortably.

For Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande and skipper Riyan Parag claimed one wicket each.

Hinge’s Dream Debut Shatters Rajasthan’s Chase

Chasing a daunting 217, the Rajasthan Royals suffered a dramatic collapse early in the innings, thanks to a sensational debut spell from Prafull Hinge.

The young pacer struck three times in his very first over, dismantling the Royals’ top order and putting them on the back foot immediately.

The situation worsened quickly as Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for just 1 run, followed by captain Riyan Parag departing without scoring. Rajasthan were left reeling at 9 for 5 within the first three overs, effectively losing control of the contest.

Amid the ruins, experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira mounted a spirited recovery with an impressive 118-run partnership for the sixth wicket.

Their counterattacking approach briefly revived hopes of an unlikely chase.

Ferreira played a fearless innings of 69 from 44 balls, striking seven fours and three sixes, while Jadeja contributed a fluent 45 from 32 deliveries, including five boundaries.

However, once the partnership was broken at 127, Rajasthan’s resistance quickly faded.

Tushar Deshpande added 25 runs, but the target proved well beyond reach as Hyderabad’s bowlers tightened their grip in the latter stages.

Hyderabad Bowlers Seal Clinical Victory

Prafull Hinge emerged as the standout performer with the ball, finishing with outstanding figures of 4 for 34. Sakib Hussain matched the impact with an equally impressive spell, claiming 4 wickets for just 24 runs.

Eshan Malinga provided strong support by picking up two wickets, ensuring Rajasthan never regained momentum in the chase.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s emphatic win showcased their balanced strength in both batting and bowling departments, while Rajasthan Royals will look to regroup quickly after their winning streak of four matches came to an end.

With the tournament heating up, both teams remain strong contenders, but this contest clearly belonged to Hyderabad’s dominant all-round display, led by Ishan Kishan’s brilliance and Hinge’s memorable debut.
