Zee Studios, Nikhil Advani and John Abraham’s Vedaa has finally been cleared with a ‘UA’ certificate. The CBFC, which had been delaying its clearance, finally gave the film a go-ahead yesterday (July 29). Minor cuts have been ordered, which Advani agreed to.
Hence the film is all set to hit the screens on 15th August. There were doubts expressed in trade circles about the film’s producers keeping their date with the audience, once they went public with their predicament. They informed the world that they were themselves clueless about why the Central Board of Film Certification was holding up the clearing of their film. Once that happened and the media took up the film’s cause, the I & B ministry got into action, it is learned. Things started to move fast and within a few days of the producers’ outreach to the CBFC, the film had been cleared.
