Lucknow, May 8, 2024: The Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav issues appeal to BSP voters on his X account to vote for INDIA alliance in the state.
Referring to removal of Akash Anand from all party position in BSP by Mayawati the SP chief said whatever step BSP has taken to bring major changes in its organization is an internal matter of their party. Yadav said actually, the real reason behind this was that BSP did not see a single seat coming because most of the traditional supporters of BSP are also voting for the INDIA Alliance this time to save the Constitution and reservation. He said “BSP is taking this as a failure of its organization. That is why their top leadership is making such major changes in the organization but now the game is out of BSP’s hands”.
Yadav further said “the truth is that despite being the area of influence of BSP, when it is not getting even a single seat in the last three phases, then there is no possibility left in the remaining four phases. In such a situation, we appeal to all the voters that you should not waste your vote and vote for the candidates of INDIA Alliance who are fighting from the front to save the Constitution of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and along with the Constitution, reservation too. Save.
Yadav said “it is requested that if you want to save the Constitution, reservation and your honour, then cast your vote for SP where there is an INDIA Alliance candidate”.
It may be recalled that Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand was dropped as her political heir and party’s National Coordinator. The action was taken days after a police case was filed against him for a derogatory comment against the BJP. Mayawati said he was being “separated” from his responsibilities “until he attains full maturity”.
In a post in Hindi on X, On Tuesday Mayawati said, “BSP is also a movement for self-respect and self-esteem of Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and social change for which Shri Kanshi Ram ji and I have dedicated our entire lives and a new generation is also being prepared to give it momentum.”
“In the same sequence, along with promoting other people in the party, I declared Akash Anand as the National Coordinator and successor, but in the larger interest of the party and the movement, he is being separated from both these important responsibilities until he attains full maturity,” read her second post. His father, Anand Kumar, will continue to fulfil his responsibilities in the party, she added in a third post.
