UP MLA Bedi Ram whose name has surfaced in paper leak scandal has been linked in eight similar cases. Belonging to Suhaldev Bhartiya Samaj Party cases against him were registered in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for leaking papers.
According to reports and as per affidavit eight of the nine cases registered against him are related to paper leaks.
In 2009 an FIR against Bedi Ram had been registered in the railway recruitment paper leak at Jaipur in Rajasthan by the special operation group.
The SOG had also registered cases against him in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission paper leak.
In 2006 Gangster act was slammed on him for leaking railway recruitment paper. Another case was registered against him at Gomti Nagar.
In 2010 FIR was registered against him for leaking police recruitment paper at Jaunpur . Then another case was registered in 2014.
Congress has slammed UP government after a viral video in which the MLA is claiming to have helped several candidates passing competitive examination in various states.
Bedi Ram has also served jail sentence in paper leak case before winning a s MLA.
If the video is true then the involvement of BJP governent cannot be ruled out, congress has said.
