Bangladesh-made Dhakai Jamdani sarees were set on fire by a group of protesters in West Bengal’s Kolkata on Sunday to mark their anger against the ongoing atrocities against Hindus in the neighboring country.
A protest was held under the Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) in Doda town.
Speaking on the occasion, SDS Doda President Gajay Singh Rana strongly condemned the targeted killings of minorities in Bangladesh. Demanding international sanctions and befitting diplomatic measures he said, “We trust the Indian Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi to ensure that justice is served and that those responsible face action in international courts.”
The Akhil Bhartiya Karni Sena, along with the Hindu Mahasabha, organized a ‘silent march’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh on Sunday to protest the ‘atrocities’ against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, as well as the vandalism and burning of temples.
Processions and protest marches erupted in Bihar on Thursday in support of minority Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and Buddhists who were being subjected to torture in Bangladesh after the collapse of the Sheikh Hasina government.
The protesters have demanded immediate intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rescue the Bangladeshi Hindus.
