Allahabad administration and police gears up: Polling on May 25


Allahabad DM Navneet Singh Chahal and police commissioner Ramit Sharma briefed police personnel at the police lines and directed them to carry out their duties strictly in accordance with guidelines of election commission.

No voter will be allowed to carry mobile phones or cameras.Only one voter at a time would be able to cast his vote and selfies have been totally banned.

Police and para military forces on duty have been directed to stay at their appointed place and not to move around.

They have been directed to reach their places of duty before the beginning of voting process.Voters have been advised to leave the polling booth area after casting votes.

Policemen have to ensure that they remain with polling personnel carrying EVMs to the strong room after the end of voting.

No person will be allowed to carry mobile phone within 100 metre of the polling station.Election, police and administrative officials alone are allowed to carry mobile phones.

Meanwhile, Regional Transport officer has cancelled registrations of 100 vehicles that were not sent for polling duties by their owners.
