The Moradabad police has bulldozed six houses belonging to a group of accused persons who attempted to kidnap two women, on resistance they fired from weapons and left the parents and brother of the victim girls injured. Two of the accused were arrested by the police, one of them sustained injuries in the leg during shootout with the police.One head constable also sustained bullet injuries in the shoulder. The main accused along with five others are at large. Police has lodged cases against the main accused Muslim, his father Nanhe, two uncles Alehasan and Suleman and some unidentified persons.
According to sources, the main accused Muslim had been threatening the father of the victim women to part with one of his daughters or face death. Last Wednesday night the accused attacked the house. One of the woman was married and has a small child. Earlier, she was in touch with the accused but had distanced herself after getting married. The accused had been putting pressure on her to change her religion and marry him.
According the younger daughter, the accused took possession of the child but upon resistance he and his associates fired from their weapons resulting in gun shot injuries to the family head, child and his mother.
DM Anuj Singh and SSP Satpal Antil visited Shivpuri village and after taking stock of the situation directed strict action against the accused. While two of the accused have been arrested police were looking for five others. They are all related and are said to be brick kiln workers with criminal bent of mind.
