The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed its third chargesheet in connection with the NEET undergraduate question paper “theft” case. As per available information, the agency has charge-sheeted 21 individuals in its third charge sheet.
The second chargesheet was filed in a Patna court last month and named six people, accusing them of cheating, theft, criminal breach of trust, abetment, causing disappearance of evidence, criminal conspiracy and dishonestly receiving stolen property, the agency said Friday in a new release.
Substantive charges had been invoked under the Prevention of Corruption Act against two of them: the principal and vice-principal of the Oasis School, who were the Hazaribagh city coordinator and a center superintendent, respectively, for the medical entrance exam.

Those charged by the CBI in its second chargesheet sheet are Baldev Kumar, Sunny Kumar, Dr. Ahsanul Haq (principal, Oasis School, Hazaribagh & city coordinator of Hazaribagh), Md Imtiyaz Alam (vice-principal, Oasis School, and center superintendent), Jamaluddin (reporter of a newspaper in Hazaribagh) and Aman Kumar Singh.

The agency said its investigation revealed that Haque, in his capacity as the city coordinator, along with Alam conspired with the other accused to steal the question paper.

So far, 48 individuals have been arrested in connection with this case. The agency said it has also identified the beneficiary candidates of the paper leak and shared their details with the National Testing Agency for necessary action.

The CBI had filed its first charge sheet in the case on August 1, charging 13 for criminal conspiracy, cheating, and under other provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
