Devotees Throng Shiva Temples With The Beginning Of Holy Shravan Month

Followers of Sanatan Dharma in every nook and corner of the country thronged Lord Shiva’s temple in huge numbers to offer prayers today.
Monday, July 22 was the beginning of the month-long Shravan festival and it is also the day of Lord Shiva.
Every Monday Hindus offer Ganga water and Bel leaves so dear to Shiva but the crowd of devotees swells at the beginning of this month every year.
As the belief hies, all Shiva temples in the country including other parts of the world witness a heavy turnout of devouts offering prayers and obedience to Shiva considered by the Hindus as the destroyer of the world if he gets angry.
And Shiva becomes very happy just with the offering of Ganga water and Bel leaves which are considered very sacred among the Hindus.
Believers fast on this day and make offerings to Lord Shiva.
