Four Children Brutally Killed in Akbarpur; Mother Suspected, Family Dispute and Mental Stress Under Probe

Ambedkarnagar: In a deeply disturbing incident that has shocked the local community, four children were found brutally murdered in the Muradabad locality under the Akbarpur police station area on Saturday.

According to police, the children were allegedly killed by being bludgeoned with a brick. Suspicion has fallen on their mother, who has been missing since the incident came to light. Authorities have launched a search operation to trace her.

The police were alerted around 3:40 pm and rushed to the scene. Inside a room of a four-storey house, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of the four siblings. The victims have been identified as Shafiq (14), Saud (12), Umar (10), and Bayan Bano (8).

Preliminary findings suggest that the children’s father, Mohammad Niyaz, has been working in Saudi Arabia for the past year. At the time of the incident, their mother, Gaziya, was reportedly at home but fled soon after.

Police officials, including Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh, stated that initial evidence points towards the mother’s involvement. However, the exact sequence of events is still under investigation.

Early indications suggest that the family had been under considerable strain. Reports point to ongoing domestic disputes and mental stress.

There are also discussions that the father’s alleged second marriage may have contributed to tensions. Additionally, a possible property dispute is being examined as part of the investigation.

Authorities have emphasized that the exact motive will only be clear once a thorough investigation is completed. The case has left the neighbourhood in grief and disbelief, as residents struggle to come to terms with the tragedy.
