Prayagraj witnessed a proud moment on Friday when young scientific minds from across Uttar Pradesh gathered at the State Science Education Institute, Allenganj, for a state-level science seminar and competition.
Themed “The Beginning of the Quantum Era: Possibilities and Challenges,” the event brought together some of the sharpest students of Classes 8 to 10, all eager to showcase their ideas, creativity, and analytical skills.
At the heart of this celebration of knowledge stood Aradhya Agrawal, a Class 10 student of Crosthwate Girls Inter College, who secured first place with her outstanding presentation.
Her clarity of thought, depth of research, and confident delivery impressed both the audience and the panel of eminent judges.
By winning this competition, Aradhya has earned the honour of representing Uttar Pradesh at the National Science Seminar 2025, scheduled to take place on 30 October at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru.
Aradhya’s journey is a reminder that hard work, curiosity, and determination can help students rise to extraordinary heights.
Her victory not only reflects her own dedication but also serves as an inspiration for others to nurture their passion for science and embrace challenges as stepping stones to success.
The second prize was awarded to Arija Varda of Rampur National Inter College, Rampur (Moradabad division), while Shalvi Singh of Sant Atulanand Convent School, Varanasi, secured the third position.
Each of these winners demonstrated how dedication to academics can turn youthful imagination into real achievements.
The event was graced by V. K. Pandey, Additional Project Director of the National Secondary Education Campaign, Lucknow, who, along with distinguished guest Bhagwati Singh, Secretary of the UP Board, handed out certificates, mementos, and awards to all participants during the closing ceremony.
Earlier in the day, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Director of the Institute, inaugurated the seminar, emphasizing that the true objective of such competitions is to nurture a scientific mindset, critical thinking, and innovation among students.
The competition was judged by experts in the field: Dr. K. N. Uttam (Department of Physics, Allahabad University), Dr. Marvin Macey (former Principal of ECC), and Dr. A. K. Singh (ECC).
A total of 31 students from schools across Uttar Pradesh took part, reflecting a spirit of healthy competition and collaborative learning. The event was conducted by Dr. Mamta Dubey and coordinated by Manjusha Gupta, ensuring smooth execution.
As the curtains fell on the seminar, one thing became clear: the future of science is safe in the hands of young talents like Aradhya, Arija, and Shalvi. Their success is a shining example for students everywhere that with perseverance and passion, the path to brilliance is always within reach.
