In a groundbreaking move for mainstream Hindi cinema, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to give Housefull 5 not one, but two different endings — a rare creative decision even on a global scale.

Nadiadwala, who has penned both the story and screenplay for the fifth installment of the popular Housefull franchise, has finalized two alternate climaxes for the film.

These versions will be screened simultaneously across different cinemas, meaning some theatres will show one ending, while others will present an entirely different conclusion.

Interestingly, this innovative move comes in a milestone year for Nadiadwala, as his family’s production banner celebrates 75 years in the film industry.

Speaking about the decision, Nadiadwala explained,

“With Housefull 5, we wanted to take a bold creative swing — something rarely attempted, especially in the comedy-thriller genre. The idea of offering multiple endings, and thus multiple viewing experiences, has been with me for over 30 years. It felt like the perfect time to bring it to life.”

He further elaborated on the inspiration behind the dual endings:

“Why should the audience always be handed just one version of the truth in a thriller? With Housefull 5, we’ve crafted a film that not only entertains but also experiments with storytelling form. It’s a killer comedy — quite literally — where the ending you see depends on the screen you’re watching it on.”

Nadiadwala added that this concept not only deepens the theatrical experience but also revives the thrill of surprise in a world dominated by spoilers and predictable algorithms.

“We’re creating intrigue, enhancing rewatch value, and giving the audience a sense of discovery. This aligns with our legacy at Nadiadwala Grandson — delivering scale, star power, and fresh cinematic experiences.”

The two endings will be distributed across different cinema halls, either by screen or through staggered show timings.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 boasts a massive ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangda Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunkey Panday, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.

The film, produced under the Nadiadwala Grandson banner, is slated for release on June 6.
