At a time when people have not been able to recover from the shock of Rajkot fire tragedy, news of tragic death of seven newborns in Delhi has rudely shaken them.

The incident occured at a children’s hospital in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area.

Sources said, twelve newborns were rescued but seven could not live.

Five children were being treated.

The cause behind the fire that broke out late saturday night was yet to be determined as investigations are going on.

The hospital owner has fled to evade arrest but Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, strict punishment will be given to those responsible. The incident was heart rendering, he wrote on X.

In a gesture of humanity and setting example locals risked their lives to save the kids.

They scaled the wall and managed to reach the place and made heroic attempt to save infants.

Several fire tenders fire tenders were rushed to this hospital by the fire brigade department.

President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi have expressed grief on this tragedy.
