Sub Inspector Critically assaulted by Villagers In Muzaffarpur In Bihar: Villagers Free Two Criminals Nabbed By The Cop

Angry residents of a village in Muzaffarpur in Bihar severely beat up a sub-inspector of police and freed two criminals. The sub-inspector Puneet Kumar in plain clothes had arrested two history sheeters from Navalpur village under Sahebganj police station in Muzaffarpur district.

 The seriously injured sub-inspector was admitted to Sahebganj Community Health Centre.

Later, police reinforcement arrived at the village and arrested six persons on charges of attempted murder and also stopped a government servant from carrying on their duties.

 As per rep[[sorts there were some other policemen along with the sub-inspector but they reportedly abandoned the senior after seeing villagers assembling for an attack. On his part the sub inspoectort stood the ground and nabbed two of the criminals who were forcibly taken away by the mob.

Such incidents of villagers attacking police and teams of administration are often reported from Bihar where residents have scant regard for law and order.
