Man who killed his mother and four sisters in Lucknow accuses the hand of his father also
In a chilling incident on New Year’s Eve, Arshad, a man from Lucknow, confessed to murdering his mother and four sisters, and named his father, Badar, as the mastermind behind the heinous crime. According to police officials, Arshad revealed that while he strangled his family members, his father used a surgical blade to slit the veins of the daughters.
Arshad admitted to recording a video where he confessed to the murders and blamed his neighbors for inciting the act. He alleged that the neighbors were plotting to seize their property in Badaun and had plans to traffic his sisters to Hyderabad. In his confession, Arshad claimed his father sat silently and watched as the sisters suffocated to death.
The police have launched a manhunt for Badar, who is currently absconding. Preliminary investigations revealed that Arshad and his father conspired to eliminate their family members. Based on Arshad’s confession, a case has been registered against Badar.
The horrifying incident occurred when hotel authorities reported suspicious activity on New Year’s Eve. Arshad stayed at a Lucknow hotel with his family since December 30. The family, originally from Agra, had traveled to the city to celebrate the New Year.
On the night of the murders, Arshad reportedly served food and alcohol mixed with intoxicants to his family members. As the intoxicants rendered them unconscious, he and his father executed the gruesome killings. The victims included Arshad’s mother, Asma, and his sisters, aged 9, 16, 18, and 19.
In his video confession, which has since gone viral on social media, Arshad stated, “Our neighbors were trying to take over our property and planned to sell my sisters in Hyderabad. I couldn’t let that happen.”
After four hours of interrogation, Arshad was arrested. Police officials are working to verify his claims about the alleged property dispute and trafficking threats. Meanwhile, the search for Badar continues, as authorities piece together the motive and circumstances surrounding the crime.
This tragedy has left the community in shock, raising concerns over the influence of familial disputes and societal pressures that may have contributed to this devastating event.
