Top Telugu actor Allu Arjun faced police questioning for more than three hours on Tuesday in connection with the death of a woman during a stampede at a screening of Pushpa-2 on December 4.

Accompanied by his father, Allu Aravind, and legal representatives, Arjun arrived at the Chikkadpally police station shortly after 11 AM. The questioning, led by Central Zone DCP Akshansh Yadav, lasted until 2:45 PM.

Tight security measures were implemented at the police station for the actor’s appearance. Heavy police deployment and traffic restrictions were enforced on roads leading to the station.

Arjun was issued a notice on December 23 to appear before the Chikkadpally police at 11 AM. The notice stated his presence was required to provide answers about the stampede incident and, if necessary, visit the scene of the incident to clarify facts.

Earlier in the day, security was heightened outside Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence. The actor waved to media personnel before departing for the police station, reiterating his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

The notice to Arjun followed the release of video evidence by Police Commissioner C.V. Anand on December 22, which detailed the events leading up to the stampede at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre.

The December 4 tragedy claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman and left her eight-year-old son hospitalized. In response, police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint from the woman’s family.

Arjun, named as Accused No. 11, was arrested on December 13. He was charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station.

The Telangana High Court granted Arjun four weeks of interim bail on the same day, leading to his release from prison on the morning of December 14.
