Protesters in Bangladesh were against their government’s policies then why they targeted minorities living in the country since ages ?

If Bangladesh is unstable India will be affected, said Muhammad Yunus who is heading the caretaker government in this country following the ouster and forceful fleeing of Sheikh Hasina.
The former PM of this country was overthrown following a coup allegedly orchestrated by the combination of ISI, the army and as it was hinted earlier, the USA. Ousted PM Sheikh Hasina has also made several such allegations pointing to a conspiracy against her government. However, Sheikh Hasina allegedly rigged the elections and ensured that most of her political rivals were behind bars. All this and several other mistakes committed by her government added to fuel in the fire fully. This situation served as an advantage to her enemies and the rest is all before us.
The type of student unrest that took place in Bangladesh makes it clear that it was fuelled by many forces and allowed to stretch longer becoming violent and bloody day by day. The efforts of the forces backing this violent movement was so immense that students of the entire country were lured to join it.
And what were the protests aimed at? They were aimed at the government’s decision to grant reservation in government jobs to dependents of those who were at the forefront of the war of liberation of the country in 1971.
If the students felt the government was wrong they could have demanded a reduction in the percentage of the quota which was reportedly reduced also but the violence-ridden students were not ready for any compromise.
Their fight was against the government but instead of continuing their agitation against the powers that be, they started killing members of the minority community.
They acted like beasts and started killing people living in the country for long. They killed innocent persons who had nothing to do with their agitation. They were simply living in that country as bonafide nationals.
If the students felt that the decision of reservation taken by the country was wrong minorities were not involved in this decision. Then why their killings?
The protesters were saying that the government was wrong.
If this were so were a big section among them right in resorting to the inhumane act of killing people living in the country, ostensibly Hindus and other minorities?
Their fight is against the government’s policies then why are they killing minorities?
