With summer heat at its peak one feels like being surrounded with fire. While the day temperature is soaring, in just one day it went up by 3.3 degrees reaching around 45.5 degree celcius said to be highest in this season on saturday at Allahabad.
The night temperature has also recorded upward trend. From 27 degrees it reached 31 degree celcius.
Such was the fear of heat stroke that streets were giving deserted look from noon to 4pm and in some areas even after this time.
Those who have not covered water tanks were getting almost boiling water from the taps.
Families living on the top floor were feeling worse as even air conditioners were failing to maintain desired temperature.
On Sunday also there seems to be no respite from unbearable heat conditions.
The states of Uttar Pradesh,Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and some other areas bear the brunt of maximum heat during Summers every year.
Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Aligarh, Bulandshahar, Jhansi, Agra, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and several other places in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were said to be in the grip of excessive heat.
However, there appears to be some respite in the coming days with the weather department predicting good rainfall during the next month in June.
On the other hand sudden outage of power and water supply have added to the woes of denizens here in the city if Allahabad.
Improper maintenance and apathy of the power and water supply department’s were said to be the cause.
