Ayodhya Ram Temple Row: CM Yogi Urges Patience, Says SIT Probe Will Reveal the Truth
Ayodhya: Breaking his silence on allegations of misappropriation of donations and valuables at the Ram Temple, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday appealed to critics to present any evidence they possess before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and wait for the outcome of the inquiry instead of attempting to tarnish the image of Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister said the investigation was initiated at the request of the temple trust and expressed confidence that the probe would establish the facts.
“The SIT inquiry will separate truth from falsehood and bring complete clarity to the matter,” he said while addressing an event in Ayodhya.
A three-member SIT, headed by senior IAS officer Vijay Vishwas Pant, is currently examining records and recording statements in Ayodhya.
The panel is expected to submit its findings to the state government after completing the investigation.
Appeal for Patience
Adityanath urged Ram devotees to remain calm and allow the inquiry to run its course.
He said that devotees who had waited for nearly five centuries for the construction of the Ram Temple could exercise patience for a few more days until the investigation is completed.
In his appeal, the Chief Minister said that Lord Ram symbolised dignity, discipline and restraint.
He noted that the struggle for reclaiming Ram Janmabhoomi was carried out in a peaceful and disciplined manner for 500 years and requested devotees not to worry or be influenced by rumours and misinformation.
He also cautioned people against attempts to malign the image of Ayodhya and the Ram Temple, urging them to place their faith in the investigation process.
Sharp Attack on the Opposition
The Chief Minister also launched a political attack on the Congress, accusing the party of having opposed the Ram Temple movement and questioned the existence of Lord Ram in the past.
He alleged that the Congress had used every possible means to prevent the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and had even filed affidavits before the Supreme Court challenging the existence of Lord Ram.
According to him, the same party is now expressing concern over the sentiments of Ram devotees.
Adityanath questioned whether challenging the existence of Lord Ram before the country’s highest court did not amount to hurting the sentiments of devotees.
Targeting the Samajwadi Party (SP), he referred to incidents during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and accused the party of ordering action against kar sevaks and devotees participating in the agitation.
He remarked that those who had once opposed the movement were now attempting to portray themselves as representatives of Ram devotees.
The Chief Minister said it was ironic that political parties which had resisted the Ram Janmabhoomi movement were today claiming to speak on behalf of devotees and seeking to champion their concerns.

अयोध्या: राम मंदिर में चढ़ावे और कीमती वस्तुओं के कथित दुरुपयोग के आरोपों पर पहली बार प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि जिन लोगों के पास कोई सबूत है, वे उसे विशेष जांच दल (एसआईटी) के समक्ष प्रस्तुत करें और जांच पूरी होने तक धैर्य रखें। उन्होंने कहा कि बिना तथ्यों के अयोध्या की छवि धूमिल करने का प्रयास नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि मंदिर ट्रस्ट के अनुरोध पर ही एसआईटी जांच के आदेश दिए गए थे और उन्हें पूरा विश्वास है कि जांच से सच्चाई सामने आएगी। अयोध्या में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा, “एसआईटी जांच दूध का दूध और पानी का पानी कर देगी।”
वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी विजय विश्वास पंत की अध्यक्षता में गठित तीन सदस्यीय एसआईटी फिलहाल अयोध्या में दस्तावेजों की जांच और संबंधित लोगों के बयान दर्ज कर रही है। जांच पूरी होने के बाद समिति अपनी रिपोर्ट राज्य सरकार को सौंपेगी।
रामभक्तों से धैर्य बनाए रखने की अपील
मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने रामभक्तों से शांति और संयम बनाए रखने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि जो लोग राम मंदिर निर्माण के लिए लगभग 500 वर्षों तक प्रतीक्षा कर सकते हैं, वे जांच पूरी होने तक कुछ और दिनों का धैर्य भी रख सकते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि भगवान राम ने मर्यादा, अनुशासन और संयम का मार्ग दिखाया है। राम जन्मभूमि के लिए संघर्ष भी सदियों तक शांतिपूर्ण और अनुशासित तरीके से चला। उन्होंने भक्तों से अपील की कि वे किसी भी प्रकार की अफवाह या दुष्प्रचार से प्रभावित न हों और जांच प्रक्रिया पर विश्वास बनाए रखें।
मुख्यमंत्री ने लोगों को अयोध्या और राम मंदिर की छवि खराब करने के प्रयासों से भी सावधान रहने की सलाह दी।
विपक्ष पर तीखा हमला
मुख्यमंत्री ने कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधते हुए आरोप लगाया कि पार्टी ने राम मंदिर आंदोलन का लगातार विरोध किया और एक समय भगवान राम के अस्तित्व पर भी सवाल खड़े किए थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस ने अयोध्या में राम मंदिर निर्माण रोकने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किया था और सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में शपथ पत्र देकर भगवान राम के अस्तित्व पर प्रश्न उठाए थे। उन्होंने कहा कि वही पार्टी आज रामभक्तों के सम्मान और भावनाओं की बात कर रही है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने सवाल उठाया कि जब सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में भगवान राम के अस्तित्व को चुनौती दी जा रही थी, तब क्या वह रामभक्तों की आस्था और भावनाओं का अपमान नहीं था।
समाजवादी पार्टी पर हमला करते हुए उन्होंने राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन के दौरान की घटनाओं का उल्लेख किया और आरोप लगाया कि उस समय कर सेवकों और रामभक्तों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई के आदेश दिए गए थे। उन्होंने कहा कि जो राजनीतिक दल कभी राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन के विरोध में खड़े थे, वही आज रामभक्तों के हितैषी बनने का दावा कर रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह विडंबना है कि जिन दलों ने राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन का विरोध किया, वे आज रामभक्तों की ओर से बोलने और उनकी चिंता करने का दावा कर रहे हैं।
