Bhopal: A teenager’s disappearance in central Bhopal has opened up an investigation into an alleged murder plot involving minors, a man posing as a doctor and an extraordinary promise of making crores of rupees from a human organ.
Police have arrested five people, including three juveniles, in connection with the death of the 17-year-old boy.
Investigators are also examining whether the episode was an isolated crime or whether it could be connected to a broader attempt to traffic human organs.
The teenager disappeared from the Iqbal Maidan area on August 6.
Four days later, his body was found near Dhobighat at Chhota Talab, prompting investigators to reconstruct the circumstances surrounding his final movements.
According to the police investigation, the teenager was not initially approached with an obvious threat.
Instead, he was allegedly offered Rs 100 and told that his presence was needed to help settle a quarrel involving some boys near Khattapura.
Police suspect that this was a pretext designed to get him to leave with the group.
Investigators allege that the plan had been discussed earlier by a man who presented himself as a doctor.
Police believe he had established contact with the juveniles roughly a month before the killing and showed them a video while explaining a scheme that, he allegedly claimed, could generate around Rs 2 crore.
The proposed target was said to be a teenage boy in the 15-16 age group, according to police.
After the victim was selected, the juveniles allegedly persuaded him to accompany them.
The group moved towards Chhota Talab and was later joined by two other accused, according to investigators.
Their route took them through Ginnouri and Kilol Park before they reached the Dhobighat area.
It was there, police allege, that the teenager was killed.
Investigators further suspect that after the murder, one of the victim’s body parts was removed with the intention of selling it. But the alleged plan did not produce the expected buyer.
Police say the body part was subsequently thrown into the lake and has not yet been recovered.
DCP Ayush Gupta said the investigation had established that the body part was removed but was later discarded after the accused allegedly failed to find someone willing to buy it.
The alleged mastermind, police said, remained in communication with the juveniles over the phone while the crime was being carried out.
Investigators are now examining mobile phones, call records and other electronic evidence to establish who gave instructions, how the group was coordinated and whether additional people were involved.
The circumstances have also prompted police to examine the possibility of a wider criminal network.
Officials have not established that such a network exists, but the alleged promise of a large financial reward in exchange for an organ has become a central line of inquiry.
The arrests include three juveniles, making the case particularly significant from the perspective of how vulnerable adolescents may have been drawn into an alleged violent crime through promises of quick money.
The investigation is continuing, with police teams searching for the missing body part and analysing the evidence collected from the accused.
Investigators are also attempting to determine whether the man who allegedly posed as a doctor acted alone or had contacts outside the group.
For now, the case presents a disturbing chain of allegations: a teenager allegedly persuaded to leave home for just Rs 100, a group reportedly promised enormous profits, a killing near a Bhopal lake and an alleged attempt to dispose of a body part when the supposed buyer could not be found.
Police say the evidence being examined will determine how far the conspiracy extended and whether others were involved.

भोपाल: भोपाल में 17 वर्षीय किशोर के लापता होने की जांच ने पुलिस के सामने एक ऐसी कथित साजिश का खुलासा किया है, जिसमें नाबालिगों को कथित तौर पर आसान कमाई का लालच दिया गया और एक व्यक्ति ने खुद को डॉक्टर बताकर उन्हें योजना में शामिल किया।
किशोर की हत्या के मामले में पुलिस ने तीन नाबालिगों समेत पांच लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है।
पुलिस अब यह भी पता लगाने में जुटी है कि क्या यह केवल एक आपराधिक वारदात थी या इसके पीछे मानव अंगों की अवैध खरीद-फरोख्त से जुड़ा कोई बड़ा नेटवर्क भी हो सकता है।
17 वर्षीय किशोर 6 अगस्त को भोपाल के इकबाल मैदान इलाके से लापता हुआ था। चार दिन बाद उसका शव छोटा तालाब के धोबीघाट के पास मिला।
इसके बाद पुलिस ने उसकी आखिरी गतिविधियों और उसके साथ मौजूद लोगों के बारे में जानकारी जुटानी शुरू की।
जांच के मुताबिक, किशोर को सीधे किसी हिंसा का सामना करने के लिए नहीं बुलाया गया था। पुलिस का आरोप है कि उसे महज 100 रुपये देने का लालच दिया गया और कहा गया कि खट्टापुरा के पास कुछ लड़कों के साथ विवाद सुलझाने में मदद करनी है।
किशोर कथित तौर पर इस बात पर भरोसा कर उनके साथ चला गया। पुलिस के अनुसार, उसे छोटे तालाब की ओर ले जाया गया।
बाद में दो और आरोपी उनके साथ जुड़ गए और समूह गिन्नौरी तथा किलोल पार्क होते हुए धोबीघाट इलाके तक पहुंचा।
पुलिस का आरोप है कि यहीं किशोर की हत्या कर दी गई।
जांच में सामने आए पुलिस के दावे के मुताबिक, वारदात के बाद मृतक के शरीर का एक अंग निकाल लिया गया।
आरोपियों का कथित उद्देश्य उसे बेचकर बड़ी रकम हासिल करना था। हालांकि, पुलिस के अनुसार, उन्हें अंग का कोई खरीदार नहीं मिला और बाद में उसे तालाब में फेंक दिया गया।
पुलिस का कहना है कि वह अंग अभी तक बरामद नहीं हुआ है और उसकी तलाश जारी है।
भोपाल के डीसीपी आयुष गुप्ता के मुताबिक, जांच में यह सामने आया है कि शरीर का अंग निकाला गया था, लेकिन उसे बेचने में सफलता नहीं मिलने के बाद कथित तौर पर तालाब में फेंक दिया गया।
मामले में पुलिस की नजर उस व्यक्ति पर भी है, जिसने कथित तौर पर खुद को डॉक्टर के रूप में पेश किया था। पुलिस का कहना है कि उसने हत्या से करीब एक महीने पहले कुछ नाबालिगों से संपर्क बनाया था।
कथित तौर पर उसने उन्हें मोबाइल फोन पर एक वीडियो दिखाया और एक ऐसी योजना समझाई, जिससे करीब दो करोड़ रुपये कमाने का लालच दिया गया।
पुलिस के अनुसार, इस कथित योजना के लिए एक किशोर को निशाना बनाने की बात कही गई थी। जांचकर्ताओं का मानना है कि बाद में आरोपियों ने इसी योजना के तहत मृतक को चुना।
पुलिस का दावा है कि वारदात को अंजाम दिए जाने के दौरान कथित साजिशकर्ता नाबालिगों के संपर्क में था।
अब जांच एजेंसियां मोबाइल फोन और कॉल रिकॉर्ड की पड़ताल कर रही हैं ताकि यह पता लगाया जा सके कि वारदात के दौरान किसने किसे निर्देश दिए और पूरी योजना किस तरह संचालित हुई।
मामले का सबसे गंभीर पहलू यह है कि पुलिस अब यह भी जांच कर रही है कि कहीं इसके पीछे कोई बड़ा मानव अंग तस्करी नेटवर्क तो नहीं है।
हालांकि, अभी तक ऐसे किसी व्यापक नेटवर्क की पुष्टि नहीं हुई है और यह जांच का एक संभावित पहलू है।
तीन नाबालिगों की गिरफ्तारी ने इस मामले में एक और चिंता पैदा की है। पुलिस यह समझने की कोशिश कर रही है कि उन्हें कथित तौर पर करोड़ों रुपये कमाने के लालच में किस तरह इस हिंसक अपराध में शामिल किया गया।
जांचकर्ताओं के सामने अब कई अहम सवाल हैं—कथित साजिश की शुरुआत किसने की, डॉक्टर बनकर घूमने वाले व्यक्ति की भूमिका कितनी बड़ी थी, मृतक के शरीर से निकाला गया अंग कहां गया और क्या इस मामले में गिरफ्तार किए गए लोगों के अलावा कोई और व्यक्ति भी शामिल था।
पुलिस की टीमें बरामदगी के लिए तलाश अभियान चला रही हैं और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक साक्ष्यों की जांच की जा रही है।
जांच पूरी होने के बाद ही यह स्पष्ट हो सकेगा कि यह वारदात एक सीमित आपराधिक साजिश थी या इसके तार किसी बड़े नेटवर्क से जुड़े हुए हैं।
