Dhamaal 4 Races Towards ₹100-Crore India Gross, Strong Weekday Collections Signal Box Office Success

The latest instalment of the popular Dhamaal franchise continues to enjoy an impressive run at the box office, maintaining steady momentum even after the opening weekend.

The comedy entertainer earned ₹9.50 crore on its first Tuesday, pushing its worldwide gross collection to ₹115 crore.

In India alone, the film has amassed ₹99.44 crore (gross), placing it just a step away from the coveted ₹100-crore milestone.

Adding to its encouraging performance, the film registered stronger earnings on Tuesday than it did on Monday, defying the usual weekday trend.

After collecting ₹8.75 crore on Monday, the comedy witnessed an eight per cent increase in collections the following day, indicating that positive audience response and favourable word-of-mouth are continuing to drive footfalls in cinemas.

Across the country, the film recorded an overall occupancy of around 20 per cent while screening in 11,077 shows.

The National Capital Region accounted for more than 1,050 screenings, while Mumbai hosted 839 shows, highlighting the scale of its nationwide release and sustained audience interest.

Helmed by filmmaker Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 features an ensemble cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Esha Gupta.

Although critics offered mixed opinions about the film, moviegoers have responded positively, helping the comedy maintain a strong theatrical run.

The film began its box office journey with an opening-day collection of ₹14 crore from 10,669 shows across India.

Business gathered pace rapidly over the weekend as collections climbed to ₹22.50 crore on the second day and ₹28.50 crore on the third.

By the close of its first weekend, the film had accumulated ₹65 crore net in the domestic market before adding nearly ₹20 crore during Monday and Tuesday together.

Trade estimates suggest that the film has been produced on a budget ranging between ₹150 crore and ₹200 crore, making it the costliest project in the history of the Dhamaal franchise.

The higher production cost is attributed to its larger scale, extensive production design, and a star-studded cast.

The successful comedy series first entertained audiences in 2007 with the original Dhamaal, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary and Jaaved Jaaferi in lead roles.

Produced for approximately ₹17 crore, the film went on to become a blockbuster by earning more than ₹50 crore at the box office.

Its sequel, Double Dhamaal, arrived in 2011 with Kangana Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat joining the franchise.

Mounted on a budget of nearly ₹32 crore, the film reportedly generated around ₹72 crore in worldwide collections.

After an eight-year gap, the franchise returned with Total Dhamaal in 2019, introducing Ajay Devgn in place of Sanjay Dutt while adding stars such as Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Boman Irani.

Produced at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore, the film emerged as the biggest commercial success in the series, collecting more than ₹225 crore globally.

Attention has now shifted to whether Dhamaal 4 can outperform every previous instalment and establish itself as the franchise’s highest-grossing film.

With weekday collections remaining steady and the ₹100-crore domestic gross mark almost achieved, the comedy has made a confident start and appears well positioned for a long and successful run at the ticket windows.

सप्ताह के सामान्य कारोबार के विपरीत फिल्म ने सोमवार की तुलना में मंगलवार को बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया। सोमवार को ₹8.75 करोड़ की कमाई के बाद मंगलवार को इसमें लगभग आठ प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई।

यह संकेत माना जा रहा है कि दर्शकों की सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया और मजबूत वर्ड-ऑफ-माउथ फिल्म को लगातार सिनेमाघरों तक दर्शक खींचने में मदद कर रहे हैं।

देशभर में फिल्म की कुल 20 प्रतिशत औसत ऑक्यूपेंसी दर्ज की गई। यह फिल्म 11,077 शो में प्रदर्शित की गई, जिनमें दिल्ली-एनसीआर में एक हजार से अधिक और मुंबई में 839 शो शामिल रहे।

बड़े पैमाने पर रिलीज और महानगरों में लगातार मिल रही दर्शकों की मौजूदगी फिल्म के पक्ष में सकारात्मक संकेत मानी जा रही है।

समीक्षकों की मिली-जुली प्रतिक्रियाओं के बावजूद दर्शकों ने फिल्म की हल्की-फुल्की कॉमेडी को भरपूर पसंद किया है, जिसका असर इसकी लगातार मजबूत कमाई में दिखाई दे रहा है।

फिल्म ने अपने पहले दिन 10,669 शो के साथ ₹14 करोड़ की ओपनिंग दर्ज की थी। इसके बाद सप्ताहांत में कारोबार ने तेज़ रफ्तार पकड़ी। दूसरे दिन फिल्म ने ₹22.50 करोड़, जबकि तीसरे दिन ₹28.50 करोड़ का संग्रह किया।

शुरुआती तीन दिनों में घरेलू बाजार से फिल्म की नेट कमाई ₹65 करोड़ तक पहुंच गई थी। इसके बाद सोमवार और मंगलवार को मिलाकर फिल्म ने लगभग ₹20 करोड़ का अतिरिक्त कारोबार किया।

व्यापारिक सूत्रों के अनुसार, ‘धमाल 4’ का निर्माण ₹150 करोड़ से ₹200 करोड़ के बीच की लागत से किया गया है। बड़े पैमाने पर फिल्मांकन, भव्य निर्माण और सितारों से सजी लंबी कलाकार सूची के कारण यह धमाल फ्रेंचाइज़ी की अब तक की सबसे महंगी फिल्म मानी जा रही है।

करीब आठ वर्ष बाद वर्ष 2019 में ‘टोटल धमाल’ ने फ्रेंचाइज़ी को नई ऊंचाई दी। इस फिल्म में संजय दत्त की जगह अजय देवगन शामिल हुए, जबकि अनिल कपूर, माधुरी दीक्षित और बोमन ईरानी जैसे कलाकारों ने भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिकाएं निभाईं।

लगभग ₹100 करोड़ की लागत से बनी इस फिल्म ने वैश्विक स्तर पर ₹225 करोड़ से अधिक की कमाई कर श्रृंखला की सबसे बड़ी व्यावसायिक सफलता हासिल की।

जिस तरह सप्ताह के कार्यदिवसों में भी इसकी कमाई मजबूत बनी हुई है और भारत में ₹100 करोड़ ग्रॉस का आंकड़ा लगभग छू लिया गया है, उससे संकेत मिल रहे हैं कि फिल्म की बॉक्स ऑफिस यात्रा अभी और लंबी तथा सफल रहने वाली है।
