In a tragic road accident on the Ganga Expressway, four young men from Prayagraj lost their lives after the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck. Sources said they had planned the trip to Shimla.

The accident took place just four hours after the four friends had left home on their onward journey.

The devastating crash occurred while the group was on a trip, leaving their families and residents in shock. The tragedy occurred under the jurisdiction of Asiwan police station.

According to preliminary information, the accident took place when the speeding car collided with the rear of a truck on the expressway.

The impact was so severe that the vehicle was badly mangled, leaving little chance for the occupants to survive.

The deceased have been identified as Vijay Yadav, Aman Gupta, Anupam Gupta and Uday Pratap Singh, all residents of Prayagraj district.

The four friends were reportedly travelling together and had clicked photographs during their journey shortly before the accident occurred.

Police officials said residents and expressway personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information about the crash. Rescue teams worked to pull the victims out of the severely damaged vehicle.

The injured occupants were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared Vijay, Aman and Anupam dead on arrival. Uday, who had sustained critical injuries, also succumbed during treatment.

The incident has plunged the victims’ families into mourning. Relatives rushed to the hospital after receiving news of the accident, while scenes of grief unfolded as the bodies were identified.

Authorities said the accident occurred within the jurisdiction of a local police station area on the Ganga Expressway.

A detailed investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the crash, though initial findings suggest that high speed and the collision with the truck may have contributed to the tragedy.

After completing legal formalities, police sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and informed the families. Officials have assured that all aspects of the accident will be thoroughly examined.

They had reportedly found Beer bottles in the badly mangled car, which was beyond recognition.

The heartbreaking incident serves as another reminder of the importance of road safety and cautious driving on high-speed expressways, where even a momentary lapse can lead to irreversible consequences.

Family members said the friends had left home together and were enjoying a trip. None of their relatives imagined that the outing would end in such a tragic manner.

News of the accident reached their families in the early hours of the morning, triggering scenes of grief and disbelief.

According to relatives, Vijay, Anupam and Uday jointly operated a business and shared a close friendship.

Aman, who was also part of the group, often accompanied them on social gatherings and outings.

The four had reportedly gone on a leisure trip and were returning when the accident took place.

Friends and relatives said the men had left home in high spirits, unaware that it would be their final journey.

Police officials said the crash took place at around 3:20 am when the car collided with a truck on the expressway.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the impact was extremely forceful, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and leaving little chance of survival for those inside.

During the inspection of the wrecked vehicle, police reportedly recovered beer bottles from inside the car. Investigators are examining all possible aspects of the incident, including whether alcohol consumption may have played any role in the crash.

However, officials said the exact circumstances will be determined after a detailed investigation.

As news of the tragedy spread, a wave of mourning swept through the victims’ native areas in Prayagraj. Grieving relatives gathered at their homes, struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

Many described the incident as an irreparable blow to the families involved.

Police completed the necessary legal formalities and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. Further investigation into the accident is underway.
