From Trust to Terror: Disturbing Trail of Alleged Crimes by Rahul Meena Across Alwar and Delhi
Rajasthan, Alwar/ New Delhi: What initially appeared to be an isolated crime is now unfolding into a deeply unsettling chain of events.
The story of 23-year-old Rahul Meena has taken a darker turn with each passing revelation, exposing a pattern of alleged violence, betrayal, and calculated deception across two cities within a span of hours.
A Night That Shattered Trust in Alwar
In a quiet neighbourhood in Alwar, the accused was not a stranger. He was known to the family, a neighbour, even a friend.
He had shared casual moments with them—playing games, exchanging conversations, and building a sense of familiarity that would later be exploited most disturbingly.
Recalling the night of April 21, the survivor’s husband described how ordinary the evening had seemed.
He was heading to attend a wedding with a friend when Rahul approached them and insisted on joining.
There was nothing unusual in the request—just another known face wanting to tag along.
But the night took a sinister turn after they reached the wedding venue. Rahul expressed a desire to return home early, but the husband declined, asking him to stay until after dinner.
What followed next was something no one could have anticipated.
Rahul managed to return to the village on his own. Around 10 pm, he reached the house and knocked on the door.
Believing it was her husband returning, the woman opened the door—an innocent assumption that would lead to a traumatic ordeal.
According to the husband, Rahul forced his way inside, grabbed her, and took her into another room, where he allegedly assaulted and raped her. The home, once a place of safety, became a site of fear within moments.
The husband recalls the heartbreaking phone call he received later that night.
“She was crying… she just said he came and did something wrong to her,” he said, his voice still heavy with disbelief.
A case was soon registered in Alwar following the complaint.
A Chilling Escalation in Delhi
What makes the story even more horrifying is what allegedly followed next. Within hours of the incident in Alwar, Rahul travelled nearly 200 kilometres to New Delhi.
There, in an apartment linked to his former employment, he is accused of committing an even more brutal crime—attacking and killing the young daughter of a senior government officer.
Investigators say the act involved rape and extreme violence, leaving behind a trail of shock and grief.
Familiarity as a Weapon
One of the most disturbing aspects of the case is how familiarity and trust appear to have been used as tools.
In Alwar, Rahul was not seen as a threat. His family had previously lived as tenants in the survivor’s home, and he shared a friendly rapport with her husband.
This sense of comfort and recognition allowed him access—access that was later misused in a way that has shaken the community.
A Community in Shock
Both incidents—separated by distance but connected by time—have left families and communities grappling with disbelief. What stands out is not just the brutality of the alleged acts, but the unsettling normalcy that preceded them.
A neighbour, a friend, a familiar face—these were the identities that masked something far more dangerous.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are continuing their investigation, piecing together the sequence of events and examining the accused’s movements, background, and mental state.
The case has raised serious concerns about safety, trust, and the unpredictable nature of such crimes.
This is not just a story of crime—it is a reminder of how quickly ordinary moments can turn into life-altering tragedies, and how deeply such incidents scar the lives they touch.
