NEET -UG 2024 has another blast.

The CBI has arrested two journalists along with the principal and vice principal of Oasis school in Hazaribagh.

The arrested journalists are connected to a prominent Jharkhand daily. One of them is said to be the bureau chief.

This journalist is reported to have been confined to a guest house where he was being questioned.

The arrested persons had one role or the other in the NEET paper leak which following outcry by thousands of students has become a countrywide major issue.

The principal Ehsanul Haq could not give satisfactory replies to CBI questioning. The same happened in the case of the vice principal, Imtiaz.

This led to their arrest along with two journalists one of them has temporarily been kept in a guest house.

Only the other day, CBI had arrested four persons including the Principal of Jai Jalram school in Godhra, Gujrat for their alleged role in making a deal with examinees to allow them use of unfair means in the NEET examination.

A sum of RS 10 lakh was agreed upon as payment from each student for this favour.

Besides, there have been several other arrests too in the country after the union Education ministry handed over NEET issue to the CBI.

Raids and searches are continuing in several parts of the country since around a fortnight and the investigating agency is unearthing one thing or the other that indicates unfairness in the examination.

Sources said there appears to be a large network of unscruplous men connected with paper leakage which   has become a money minting industry of sorts.

The MLA of a political party Bedi Ram from UP is openly seen admitting in a video that he could get any paper leaked.

This politico with several cases of paper leak since past more than a decade has already been booked.

But now this paper leak and solvers gang issue has become larger than life issue as it involves future of lakhs of students who strive to get through various competitive examinations conducted at the state and central level.

It is also clear that paper leak and solvers gangs in various parts of the country had been active since long and had been carrying out their nefarious network and wrong doings with impunity.

As for the government’s none of them ever cared to take this matter seriously further after arrests of accused in earlier cases.

No concrete steps had been taken to go down to the bottom of things starting from setting of question papers, it’s writers, handlers, despatchers whatever be the system.

It is also clear that there are bkacksheep within the family.

Probably for the first time a National level agency has come to play its role in this murky affair.

It is hoped that it would lay bare the truth before the youth of the country and millions of parents who spend sleepless nights thinking about the future of their children.

So the ball is in the CBI and Government’s court.

‘It’s now or never’.
