Prayagraj: Fresh revelations have emerged in the sensational triple murder case in Neebi Khurdkalan village of Prayagraj’s Meja region, indicating that the prime accused had allegedly threatened the victims before carrying out the brutal killings.

The disclosures have raised serious questions about whether the tragedy could have been prevented if timely action had been taken.

The murder of three members of the same family has left the village in shock and plunged the bereaved relatives into grief.

Women of the family were seen wailing inconsolably as neighbours gathered to console them.

Investigation Points to Love Affair as the Trigger

Police investigations suggest that the crime was rooted in a long-running romantic relationship.

According to investigators, the principal accused, Himanshu Yadav, was allegedly involved in a relationship with a young woman from the deceased family and wanted to marry her.

However, the girl’s family reportedly opposed the relationship. Police believe that the disagreement intensified over time and eventually escalated into a deadly conspiracy.

Investigators have also found social media evidence that is considered significant in the case.

According to police sources, Himanshu had shared photographs with the young woman on his social media accounts and had publicly expressed his desire to marry her.

The family members allegedly objected to the relationship and were unwilling to accept the marriage proposal.

Prime Accused Allegedly Tried to Remove Family Opposition

During questioning, police reportedly learned that Himanshu considered the family members obstacles to his relationship.

Investigators believe that he wanted to eliminate the opposition and allegedly began planning the murders.

According to police findings, Himanshu first reached the family home and later arrived with his associates.

He allegedly struck Shyamlal Gupta on the head with a sharp weapon, killing him.

The assailants then attacked the other two women of the household, resulting in their deaths as well.

The killings were carried out with such brutality that the entire village was left stunned.

The incident quickly turned into one of the most shocking crimes reported in the area in recent times.

Previous Threats Were Allegedly Ignored

The investigation has also revealed that the accused had allegedly issued threats to the family in the past.

Villagers claimed that there had been discussions and disputes regarding the relationship for a considerable period and that tensions between both sides were widely known in the locality.

Despite these warning signs, no concrete preventive action was reportedly taken.

Senior police officials are now facing criticism over allegations that earlier complaints and threats were not adequately addressed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Chandra Yadav said that a youth from the village, along with his associates, had allegedly murdered three members of a family over a relationship dispute.

Five accused have been arrested in connection with the case, and further investigation is underway.

Police have also found indications that the young woman may have had some involvement in events leading up to the murders.

During the investigation, police recovered documents related to an Aadhaar modification application.

According to sources, a form had been filled out shortly before the murders, and investigators are trying to determine whether it was connected to plans involving the accused and the young woman.

Authorities are also verifying whether the young woman is a minor or an adult.

If she is found to be an adult and evidence of involvement emerges, legal proceedings could be initiated against her as well.
